Douglas Clark: Coatham, Benjamin Press, Bath
`Coatham', the book of childhood, is a return to the source,
the place of inspiration from where the horsemen have thundered.
In passing an attempt is made to face up to the reality of the
Holocaust. But the book is rooted in the old Georgian house at
Coatham Mundeville where the author grew up. The first five sections
were written in Bath; the final section in Glasgow.
